ABOUT US
My name is Johnnie and I am a survivor! I want to help cancer survivors,
caregivers, and those affected by cancer sustain hope one smile at a time!
In 2020, after completing my second round of radiation treatment for breast cancer, I was at a beauty salon, and the Lord gave me a vision for a cancer care ministry for survivors. Thankfully, I was obedient and wrote down the details of the vision in the notes on my iPhone. The vision given to me was M.I.N.D—Motivated and Inspired Never to Die. I wrote down all the details, which included ideas like support groups, retreats, care packages, and spa treatments. The Lord laid out the objectives and the supporting scriptures. For example, the Lord told me to write down that there is power in prayer and meditation, power in music, power in quietness, and power in the healing process. He told me to pray for the medical team, scientific
advancement, and technology. The Lord downloaded all of this in one setting and etched it into my heart. Unfortunately, I became distracted, mostly due to the impact of COVID-19, and my vision faded from my immediate thoughts. So, for four years, this vision was dormant.

OUR PROGRAMS
Spiritual and Emotional Support
Chaplaincy Model: The organization offers a community chaplaincy framework, developed
through Dr. Quiller's doctoral research, to guide churches in providing ongoing spiritual care to
cancer survivors and their families. This model helps churches establish cancer care ministries
that are sustainable, impactful, and accessible to those in need.
Education and Training
Dr. Quiller created and implemented a 6-week, 8-module course aimed at equipping church
leaders and volunteers with the tools needed to support individuals affected by cancer. This
course is designed to be integrated into local congregations, ensuring long-term sustainability
and enhancing the church’s role as a source of spiritual and emotional care.
Faith-Based Cancer Care Ministry
Lotus of Love collaborates with Restoration Worship Center, where Dr. Quiller serves as an
associate pastor, to develop a cancer care ministry that addresses the holistic needs of those
impacted by the disease. This ministry is also part of the organization's broader goal of creating
cancer care ministries within other local churches.

The organization will offer workshops or resources that educate patients on nutrition
during and after cancer treatment, ensuring they have access to the best information to
support their healing process.
Financial Assistance and Resource Referrals
Financial Aid: Recognizing the financial strain cancer can place on families, Lotus of
Love will help connect patients with financial aid resources, such as grants, charity
programs, or fundraising assistance, to help cover medical bills, transportation costs, and
other living expenses.
Insurance Navigation

Home Care and Errand Assistance
Patients in active treatment often need help with daily household tasks. Lotus of Love
will organize volunteers to assist with basic home chores, such as cleaning, laundry,
grocery shopping, and running errands.
Childcare and Family Support
For families with children, cancer treatment can disrupt daily routines. Lotus of Love will
offer assistance by coordinating safe and reliable childcare services during medical
appointments or treatment sessions.
